Usage Notes
End-to-end encryption is optional and off by default (browser- dependent Insertable Streams API), unlike Proton Meet's always-on E2EE. The free public instance degrades past roughly 35 participants. Self-hosting gives the best cost and privacy story but requires real ops effort -- TURN server setup, patching, and at least 2 vCPU/4GB RAM to run comfortably.
